The Fund seeks to achieve the maximum US dollar total return while being prudent and minimising the risk of loss within the context of an African bond fund. The Fund aims to achieve this by, under normal circumstances, investing predominantly in African Securities.

The Fund invests in a focused portfolio of assets that are selected for their perceived superior fundamental value and expected risk and return profile. The Fund seeks to take advantage of opportunities that arise and may invest a substantial portion of the assets in a single country or region rather than a diversified portfolio of assets with exposure to a basket of African countries.

The Fund’s asset allocation will be flexible amongst the various fixed income asset classes.

The Fund is suitable for investors with a long-term time horizon who are seeking exposure to African interest bearing assets. The Fund will be exposed to various risks including currency, interest rate, credit, liquidity and political risk.
