The Fund was incorporated in Bermuda on 9 June 2004 and is registered as a Bermuda Standard Scheme under the Bermuda Monetary Authority (Collective Investment Scheme Classification) Regulations 1998.

The CAM Pinnacle Funds were reorganized in December 2004 to provide different classes of Participating Shares denominated in currencies other than US dollars. In order to achieve this, a new Master Fund was created called CAM Pinnacle Fund, the existing CAM Pinnacle Fund was renamed the CAM Pinnacle Dollar Fund and the CAM Pinnacle Rand Fund was formed.

CAM Pinnacle Rand Fund and CAM Pinnacle Dollar Fund (the Feeder Funds) will invest solely apart from the currency hedging strategy to protect their value in base currency terms from currency fluctuations into the CAM Pinnacle Fund (the Master Fund) whose objective is to achieve long-term capital growth by investing either directly, or indirectly through selected funds or investment managers, in a strategically determined mix of global fixed income securities, equity securities, derivative securities, currencies and other investment assets with an emphasis on long-term growth. Where investment is made by the Master Fund into other funds, these funds will be relevant to the investment strategy of the Master Fund, will be in a variety of legal forms and may be located anywhere in the world.
